Small animals in Murano glass
Gorgeous collection of Murano glass small animals handcrafted using the Lume glass technique. Each small animal is handcrafted using a traditional working technique that uses the intense heat of the lampwork furnace to shape the molten glass into delicate and precise shapes. Each little animal is the result of a careful process using the lampworking technique, one of the oldest and most fascinating in Murano glass. The glass, heated to high temperatures, is shaped by hand by the master glassmaker, who brings to life minutely detailed creatures such as butterflies, fish, birds and other small animals.
To further enrich the aesthetics, the little animals are decorated with Murrine, small washers of colored glass that, when fused, form intricate and vivid designs. The Murrine give each piece a unique touch with floral motifs, which create a fascinating play of colors and transparency.
