The LUCEA Christmas ball is a handcrafted masterpiece of authentic Murano glass, featuring a vibrant decoration of blue and lime green murrines. The red details in the center of the murrine and the golden hues of the gold leaf create a sparkling effect, rich in contrast and depth. The result is a ball with a bright, fresh and precious character, ideal for original and scenic Christmas decorations.
The processing of LUCEA requires great expertise. First a mélange of murrine is prepared by arranging a mixture of carefully selected colors on a hot plate. Then the master glassmaker passes the blown crystal glass rod over this carpet of murrine and rolls it until it completely envelops the surface. The sphere is then placed back in the kiln to allow the murrine to blend with the crystal, creating a unique and continuous pattern. Finally, gold leaf is applied, illuminating the contours and enriching the entire decoration.
