The Raffaello amphora is made of borosilicate glass, an extremely durable material that requires very high temperatures to shape. This characteristic makes it possible to obtain glass with a distinctly cleaner, clearer crystal and free of the microbubbles typical of traditional Murano glass.

The Master Glassmaker uses the classic technique of glassblowing, one of the most revolutionary innovations in the history of glassmaking. The borosilicate vial is heated directly over a flame until it reaches the correct softness; with a precise blow, the glass opens and can be molded into its final shape. The piece is then placed in a cooling furnace, where it gradually returns to room temperature to ensure stability and durability. The floral decoration, hand-applied with 18-karat pure gold enamel, is made at the end of the process, adding a precious and luminous touch.

The Design

The design of the amphora recalls the forms of ancient terracotta amphorae, reinterpreted in a smaller and more refined version. It is openly inspired by the style of glass preserved in museum collections: harmonious proportions, soft lines, and details that recall the great tradition of Murano glass.
