Venetian Tipetti are distinctive goblets from the Murano glass tradition first made back in the 1500s. These collectible go blets are true artisanal masterpieces, recognized for their grandeur and majesty, handcrafted by Venetian master glassmakers using techniques passed down through generations. The Tipetto is not to be confused with a simple elegant wine goblet; what really distinguishes a Venetian Tipetto from a somewhat extravagant and colorful goblet is the particular shape of the stem , which is always very elaborate.
In ancient times they were used as wine goblets, always present on the grand tables set by nobles throughout Europe.
Style and Design
Some of our Tipetti feature traditional colors with classic shapes and decorations, while others, have been given a modern twist with colors that are reminiscent of the decor of modern, minimalist settings. In our catalog of "Venetian Tipetti" there are more than 10 colors some worked with gold leaf, while others worked in black glass paste to achieve a visually striking and sophisticated work of art. The stem is always very elaborate, with a few exceptions for the more minimal shapes.
